Above you should see a short video showing the Gemini Universal Carver in action. (If you can't see the carver video above or a quicktime icon, you will need to install QuickTime.) If you do not wish to wait for the download, or are having difficulty viewing the clips, consider ordering a videotape and coupon.
Notice the brake action at the operator's right hand. This brake is a unique and indisensible feature of the Gemini. It allows the carver to cut in straight paths from side to side while still following the topography of the pattern piece. Notice also the large, solid framing and smooth motion of the arms.
Two other videos are also available if you wish to see more of the carver. These other videos are less grainy so you can see the details of the carving result.
Unicarver Video 2 Shows the new piece after two passes of the router. A third pass is removing the remaining excess material.
Unicarver Video 3 Shows the cutter with the brake released cutting the exact outline of the violin. With the brake released the Gemini will smoothly follow a 3-dimensional pattern.
